How to create a slide show in Corel VideoStudio X2


Corel VideoStudio® Pro X2 is an all-in-one video-editing software for creating high-quality HD and standard-definition movies, slide shows and DVDs. How to create a slide show in VideoStudio X2:

  1. Open an empty VideoStudio project.

  2. Press F6 key on your keyboard to launch the Preferences.


  3. On the Edit tab:



    1. Set the desired "Default inserted image/color clip duration" (e.g. 8 seconds).

    2. Set the desired "Default transition effect duration" (e.g. 2 seconds).


    3. Make sure to check "Automatically add transition effect".



      1. Select the desired "default transition effect" (e.g. Random).

    4. Click on "OK".

  4. From the Library pane of VideoStudio, click on the "Gallery" >> "Library Organizer".


  5. When the "Library Organizer" window opens:



    1. Select the Image from the "Available custom folders" drop-down list.

    2. Click on New…

    3. Name the folder for example My Slide Show then click on OK.

    4. Click on Close.

  6. Click on the Gallery drop-down list again and select "Image" >> "Image--My Slide Show".

  7. Click on the "Load image" icon located right after the Gallery drop-down list.

  8. Browse and select all the images that you want to include on your slide show.

  9. Click on "Open". VideoStudio creates thumbnails of the selected images that will be added to "Image" >> "Image--My Slide Show".

  10. From the library pane, select all the thumbnails of the images under the "Image—My Slide Show".

  11. Drag and drop these thumbnails on to the Story board / Timeline panel of VideoStudio. VideoStudio automatically applies default clip duration and transition between the imported images.

  12. Highlight all the imported images to the Storyboard panel and right-click on them; then, select "Auto Pan & Zoom".
